Ikebana is far more than flower arranging. It is one of Japan's oldest and most refined art forms — a practice of bringing nature, space, and the human hand into quiet harmony. Originating in the 6th century as a form of Buddhist floral offering, ikebana has evolved into a deeply contemplative discipline with its own schools, philosophies, and aesthetic principles.
Unlike Western floral arrangements that focus on fullness and symmetry, ikebana celebrates asymmetry, negative space, and simplicity. Every stem, leaf, and branch is placed with intention. The arrangement is not just a decoration — it is a composition, a moment of mindfulness, and a reflection of the season.
In our workshop, you'll work directly with seasonal flowers and branches under the guidance of an experienced instructor. The session is conducted in English, and no prior experience is needed. You'll leave with an arrangement you've created yourself — and a new way of seeing.
